Sylvie van der Vaart is hurt by the swirling rumours that she's pregnant with her second child. Not even a week after husband Rafael van der Vaart announced in Dutch magazine
Story that there won't be another baby and that the couple is happy together and their lives complete with son
Damiàn, German magazine Gala publishes an interview with Sylvie, 33. In this interview the football wife, who started her career as Sylvie Meis, says, "Rafael and I would love it [to have a second child], but it's not possible yet, because of the consequences of having had breast cancer."
Sylvie was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008. She beat the disease, but according to Gala, "My doctor advised me, that it's too early for a second child." She says that the rumours are extra hurtful right now, but that she focuses on her work.
The story of the Tottenham Hotspurs player conflicts with that of his wife. Whether or not one of the magazines had a 'big thumb' is up for debate, but let's do as Sylvie and focus on her work. Currently Sylvie presents "The Face" in the Netherlands.
