Today Jim Bakkum announced on his Twitter page that his wife Bettina Holwerda is pregnant. This will be the first child for the couple, who wed last year in June. Jim, 24, tweeted (translation), "You know what's so great? When Bettina picked up this fantastic award yesterday, she actually was a duo #pregnant" He posted a photo of his wife, 33, accepting a Cosmopolitan 'Greatest Legs of the Netherlands 2012' award.

Jim, a Dutch singer and musical star, shot to fame in the Netherlands, when he participated in the first edition of Idols (2002-2003). The then 15-year old came in second place, right after Jamai Loman. Het met musical actress Bettina, when they played Danny and Sandy in Grease the musical. Jamai proposed to Bettina in 2010 on holiday in Hawaii.

The couple were married in an intimate ceremony in the Vondelkerk (Vondel church) in Amsterdam, on June 10th, 2011.
