Linda Evangelista wants $46,000 per month in child support from François-Henri Pinault

It was revealed last months that François-Henri Pinault is the father of Linda Evangelista's son Augustin James. The French billionaire, who is the CEO of Pinault-Printemps-Redoute - a Paris based company that owns Gucci, Yves St. Laurent, and Botegga Venetta - fathered the 4-year old when he was on a break from then-girlfriend and now-wife Salma Hayek.

Linda Evangelista is now asking for child support. The 46-year old supermodel arrived at Manhattan family court on Monday. The New York Post reports that Support Magistrate Matthew Troy called the request, "probably the largest support order in the history of the Family Court."

Linda has requested that François-Henri pays her $46,000 USD a month, that's $552,000 USD a year. This amount of child support would cover costs for 24/7 nannies, drivers and security detail, in order to keep Augustin safe. The judge largely sided with Linda's request, although he did dismiss the demand for $7500 in vacation expenses, saying, "these are the extraordinary expenses that may be a part of the child's life." Linda commented on her claim in court, explaining her hectic life as a model, "When I work, it can be a 16-hour day... on days when I do not work, I am working on my image." The latter claim means that she has to frequent the gym and go to the salon, in order to keep her image top-notch and stay in the modelling business.

Whereas any non-millionaire/billionaire would think, "$46,000... WTF?!" These expenses will not be new to François-Henri. He spends $50,000 USD a month on a trust for his 3-year old daughter Valentina Paloma. Linda's lawyer argued that on top of that trust fund, Pinault's daughter with wife Salma Hayek also gets lavish vacations and gifts. François-Henri has not offered any support to Linda up until this point.

François-Henri and Salma got back together after their short-lived break-up in 2006, when François-Henri fathered Augstin. They had daughter Valentina and wed on Valentine's Day 2009.
